Tom you are lucky you can do that. I live in Maryland and outer door shooting is banned even if you have a large piece of land. Plus my backyard is fully open so no luck for me.
I plan to use duct seal, see the link earlier for good price if you buy quantity. That should really quiet it down.My friend had a big yard in country, he offered me to go shooting in his yard, but knowing the Maryland law, I could not do it even he is in a relatively isolated neighborhood.

I have experimented with some silent trap variations. I found a laundry detergent bucket filled with old clothing (lightly compressed) works best for me. It is light, quiet, and none of my airguns come close to penetrating the layers of fabric. The best part is ease of clean up. I take the lead and give it to a guy who reloads PB bullets.Here is a video with some ideas.
