FX tech inspecting the valve seats for a crack, at this time stamp : 1 minute 52 seconds into video: (youtube.com/watch?v=9ilyuK1yfnQ&t=112s)This is on an older Impact. Video from 2018. So, perhaps not pertinent to the Maverick in question:
Wait, wasn't it a Bobcat or something that he had? Not a Maverixk?

Now watching the rails and looking for Rusty tools and etc.
I could be wrong, but this entire tete-a-tete seems rather pointless.
This is actually kind of funny,...the guy is on a warpath against FX and AirgunNation, following to see developments
Can't fault that video ! ....makes sense.

This is the process I went through. I pulled a dry patch through the barrel (.177) to remove any loose debris. I got some chrome polishing paste and a nylon brush used to clean stainless steel drinking straws, I coated some of the polish on the bristles. The paste is white so as I was brushing the inside of the barrel, the paste went from white to dark grey, I wiped of the excess after a few minutes of brushing. I sprayed some wd40 on the brush and continued buffing. I then used some brake cleaner on the brush to get rid of the wd40. I then passed a single dry patch through the barrel and finally a double dry patch. The first strip of images are the barrel without any cleaning done. It looks a lot worse than it is. The second strip of images are with a single dry patch pass through, notice the uneven texture of the lands and the black line that isn't following the rifling that I'm trying to polish out. The third strip of images is after one process of polishing the barrel. You should notice that a lot of the imperfections are flattening out. The fourth strip of images are after an additional three polishing processes, you can see that the edges of the lands are starting to polish out, though I can't seem to get rid of that black line. This is after a few passes and should be even better the more it's polished.
