Krytox turns brownish. Dirty air?

I have noticed on a few different rifles that I have torn down often, that even though I clean the valve internals with alcohol and apply fresh Krytox, the lubricant has turned tan or brownish upon the next disassembly. As Krytox is white, I can only guess that it gets dirty from the air passing through it. I use an Alpha-Carette compressor, so my air has ran through the Alpha filter. Perhaps this is molecular sieve dust? It would be interesting to see if the discoloration continued if I had a micron filter.

I have noticed similar things before I got my own compressor. I think it may be a mixture of dust and such that wasn't properly filtered. I have also noticed that at times, it may turn a grayish color which I believe is from internal parts slowly wearing. Nothing damaging that I can tell yet, but we shall see. I suspect that some of the particles turning it brownish could be dust getting into cracks and crevices that are not internal to the pressurized areas. Just a guess though.

Actually, I guess it is a tan or greyish color.
It doesn't seem to cause any issues though.

I suspect it is from the parts slowly wearing. At least that is my guess.

Could it be trace moisture being forced into the Krytox by the pressure? Would not expect it to be brown but maybe?
The reason I mentioned that is I bought some cheap(er) silicone oil to test internally in the plenum and on a hunting trip was getting the ranches air (which we found had lots of moisture contaminating our tanks) and when I got home I found the oil had turned pale brown.
