You are lucky indeed to get that kind of accuracy from Daisy wad cutters. Although, I think the price has gone up quite bit in recent years.
It is about 20 ft from my bathroom window to a big oak tree favored by the squirrels. I normally leave them alone until one starts teasing my dog, sitting on a low branch and chattering at Lucy. Then about 6 pumps with a wadcutter to the head ends the problem. Accurate and with enough power to do the job every time.
The CPHP pellets. I wish they were good shooters in my 880. My 1377 carbine shoots them well sometimes, but then there are bad fliers. Yesterday I brought out some Crosman Premier wad cutters, which are 7.4 grainers. These did well. My 880 shoots these and the RWS Basics the best. Beeman hollow points show some promise also. But then, the question becomes, when should I clean the barrel? I tend to clean more often then many with Googone using weed trimmer line and patches. Another question is, how many shots does it take when trying a different pellet, before the gun settles down with that pellet?
