I simply click on the treads I'm interested in then "mark all as read" on the remainder when I'm done.
Just click the "UNOTIFY" button next to REPLY.
You have the option to subscribe or unsubscribe from gates or particular threads only. Check the list in your profile and see what I mean.
Just click the "UNOTIFY" button next to REPLY.As for the GTA search engine, it is abysmal, for sure. I saw on a thread the other day where people are just going to Google, typing in gatewaytoairguns and then the subject. Works faster. This morning I found an old thread faster that way than even looking through my old posts.

As long as people keep posting on those threads, they will come up forever in my "subscribed"threads. On notifications, I can choose which forums to get email notifications on. For me, those are posts in the gates that I a moderator for.I have not found a way to unsubscribe from any individual thread. As an example....in the thread titled "So...what did you order/receive today...."I have posted maybe 3-5 times in that thread over a year ago, but it still always comes up in my subscribed threads, and if there is a way to unsubscribe, I have not been able to figure it out.Other forums that I have been on give an option to unsubscribe separately from email notifications.
When you go to your profile and select Notifications, you open a page that shows all threads you are subscribed to. And below that list is a list of gates you receive notifications from. On that page you can check mark any thread OR gate and unsubscribe from if you want. Same as going to the thread and selecting Unnotify.
I think there is confusion between email notifications and the "new replies to your posts" feature on the webpage.I have purposely avoided posting to a few high traffic threads because I don't want to see them on my "new replies" list for the rest of my online life. I like viewing those threads occasionally, but it would be a mildly annoying 1st world problem to see them on my personal thread replies list.
