Sure it's a springer and not a gas piston ("vortex")?
If you can identify what the problem is Hatsan customer service is competent. If you just give them generalizations about the gun losing power they will blow you off. If it's a Vortex gun it could be the ram. Might be the breech seal or the piston seal. Cock and load the gun. Place a square of tissue over the breech and shoot in a safe direction. If the tissue is blown off the breech it's probably a bad breech seal. A chronograph test is the only way to determine if it's a piston seal.My advice is return it under warranty and get a fresh one.
Hey all,I'm new to springers, their capabilities, and maintaining them for peak performance. I bought a Hatsan mod 95 combo just over a month ago. I've probably put close to 350 pelleta through the rifle so far. I've been very impressed with the performance up until recently. It seems just over night the power has noticeably decreased. I've used loctite on the back stock screw as well as the small screw in front running in the stock horizontally. Some power seems to have come back but it is not hitting the same way it initially was. Any advice? I've reached out to Hatsan and received one initial reply before them ghosting me
...power has noticeably decreased... is not hitting the same way it initially was...
Please don't be offended but I have to ask since said you were new to springers...Have you dry fired the gun? (shot it without loading a pellet)

Ok, with that out of the way, when you "crack" the barrel open to load it, does the barrel seem to rest in the same position before applying force to cock it or does it rest lower than new?

Cocking the rifle has gotten a lot easier. Prolonged shooting gave my arms a mini workout before, but now it's not as resistant

A leaky breech seal is not going to make the cocking effort easier. Well, I got nothing else to offer so I'll defer to the experts. Good luck solving your problem.
Cleaning the barrel after all that dieseling is recommended. Dieseling does seem like what your gun was presenting and now its calming down. Not surprising. You'll shoot more accurately as you get used to shooting your gun. Hatsans tend to do well with a firm grip hold. The classic artillery hold just lets the gun fling shots every which way.You made a good choice though. The springer 95 is a classic.I'd recommend trying dome shaped pellets on the lighter end. It'll give you a flatter trajectory.
