I moved my DD'er a few days ago. It was sitting on the right-hand side of the bait station and I moved it to the center so that mice/voles that were under the ledge on the left-hand side would alert. Since then it seems to go off 50-100 times an hour during the heat of the day. I looked for shadows of the banana tree leaves to see if it was causing it, didn't seem to correspond properly. Sometimes I would see brown anoles on the back stop flexing their dewlaps.
I started doing a little research and apparently the brown anoles are an invasive species here in Fl. They actually take habitat from green anoles and according to one site will even eat their eggs.
Well enough was enough, and occasionally you just need to check zero on the scope. The first 2 were before I was picking up my FX Wildcat by the scope, and the last one was today after I re-zeroed the scope. BTW there are probably 100's if not 1000's in my yard.

Yeah, I leave the native green Anoles alone but the brown ones join the other garden pests. Target practice for the 2100 at about four pumps.

Thanks guys. Yes, I'm glad the FX Wildcat likes CPHPs. I think I have 4 tins of 500 on hand, and 5 Walmarts withing just a few miles. Almost 30FPE might be excessive compared to 4 pumps in your 2100!
