My compressor is having an issue starting up. When plugged in all the fans work but as soon as I turn the on switch on the fans stop and the compressor doesn't start at first, it tries several times before it finally kicks in. Any thoughts on fixing it or just buy a new one? Its less than a year old but it had a a 30 day warranty through Amazon.
Have you tried connecting it to your car battery with the engine running?

Looking at the parts diagram on the Target Forge website, AFAICT there is nothing electronic in the pump itself more sophisticated than a switch. So if it starts up quickly when hooked to a battery, it's the AC/DC converter box. If it acts the same...not sure what troubleshooting Step 2 is.
Ok, I hooked it up to the truck and it fired right up. I hooked it back to the inverter and same problem. Is there a recommended inverter to use, I found a couple of different ones on Amazon?
