DJSend HAWKE an email and explain the problem. They will send you a RMA number and instructions. You will have a new scope within two weeks. If they no longer make the Vantage they will send the current equivalent..Try and find purchase receipt unless you registered the purchase with HAWKE already..
I've already sent an email to PA customer support since that's where we bought the scope. So about a month ago I took my Eagle Claw apart to replace some o-rings and I put the Hawke Vantage in a cabinet so it would stay safe. After putting the scope back on the rifle it will not group at all. At first I thought something was wrong with the rifle because it had always performed amazing with that scope. I tried a lot of ammo, tore the rifle down and put it back together. After the second tear down I put a cheap red dot on there to check accuracy for a range of different ammo and didn't want to fuss with a scope. After being satisfied that nothing was amiss I put the rifle on the wall and got to casting ammo. Today I wanted to test my ammo and put the scope back on. Well, I couldn't even stay in a 4" circle without two shots in the same place. What causes this kind of thing to happen? Usually when I hear about a scope biting the dust it was on a springer, this scope has only ever been used on the Eagle Claw. I can't have shot more than 1,000 rounds with the scope mounted, which is pretty unacceptable, especially on a high-er end scope. I'm just glad the rifle is OK because I was pretty sure it would need a trip to Will P. and it's not an expense I want to shoulder right now. Anyone had to deal with Hawke's warranty? I'm hoping this is a painless process because my wife bought that scope and she is pretty bummed about it.[/quoteThe hawke Vantage is NOT a higher end scope. It is a lower end scope. Don't Eagle Claw's recoil worse than any other PCP?-Y

Personally I think high end ($1000+) optics on an airgun is stupid given their usable range.
my hawke vantage has been a trooper, btw, and imo outperforms the more expensive airmax that I have on an an avenger. really like that scope. I don't think It was even $200 new.Quote from: Bayman on April 24, 2022, 12:42:26 AMPersonally I think high end ($1000+) optics on an airgun is stupid given their usable range.I'm pretty surprised that someone would have that opinion in a place like this. Surely there are plenty of considerations other than just maximum range that are important to you?
I believe that the Vantage scopes are springer rated to 12 fpe maximum. What does that tell you? -Y
DJI apologize for some of the remarks that followed mine.Just send an email and you will be fine. The receipt from PA will be perfect.
Frank hit the nail on the head, email Hawke. You'll get way better help from them and might well save someone elsefuture problems if PA decides there's nothing wrong with yours and resells it as open box or tries to say it's a refurb.

Your comments don't make any sense. This scope is rated for a all calibers of firearm, and I'm using a 70 FPE air rifle. I'm not even at rimfire recoil. https://us.hawkeoptics.com/vantage-ir-4-12x50-mil-dot-ir.htmlI understand this scope is not a $500+ Leupold, Nikkon, etc., but it should hold up to less than 1,000 rounds while mounted on an Air Rifle. This scope is clearly placed above the entry level scopes included with cheap air or PB guns, which I would expect an issue. My $50 Chinese "tactical" compact scope is holding up to my 450 FPE 45 caliber big bore without issue. I don't think I'm out of line when I say a $250-$300 scope dying so fast is unacceptable. I'll reach out to Hawke tomorrow, but I'm also expecting to hear back from PA, who may just tell me to go directly to Hawke.

It is Hawke's entry level scope. Many other people here have had problems with the Vantage, yes this was on springers.I'm sure Hawke will take care of you. They have the best warranty in the business. See if they will let you upgrade to an Airmax. The reason your Vantage cost so much was because of the 50mm Objective. That is big and heavy, does not improve quality however...-Y
