Well, I installed the UTG Drooper mount and it still shoots about 7" low at 25 yds.. Not wanting to try and bend the barrel, how much can I shim the rear Hawke ring without putting stress on the scope tube. These rings have the 2 sided sticky cushion tape on both top and bottom, so there is definitely some stress relieving.
When I put a straight edge on the barrel, it seems to be pretty straight. So I guess that the bending moment would be at the chamber connection. Someone else told me to center my scope, give it tweak by bending it in a crotch of a tree, then shoot it to see the change? I'd hate to over tweak it.

I have a model 34 that needs one. Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to put it on yet, but will let you know how well it works.
