ZB Lite Rail - Comments?

(1/2) > >>

rsterne:
I ran across this adjustable scope rail on the Airgun Archery Fun website....  https://airgunarcheryfun.ca/zb-lite-rail-click-adjustable-mount-zeroing-block/
It has 90 MOA vertical and 60 MOA horizontal adjustment, mounts on a Picatinny rail and has another on top.... It raises the scope by 17mm....

Have any of you tried this?.... How rigid is it?.... How well does it return to zero, particularly in the vertical?.... Also, it says you can mount it backwards, and while the dials then work backwards, the travel remains the same.... Does it end up with 90 MOA of "down" instead of "up" if you do that?.... OR, does it have 45 MOA both up and down regardless of the way you mount it.... ???

I would also welcome comments on other solutions for zeroing your scope when shooting at 100-500 yards....

That's an interesting bit of kit Bob.
May just see about one of these myself.

I use FX No Limit Rings but those are a pain to dial in for distances.
Plus they don't do Windage.
I do have something like this for adjusting the FX Rings.

Thanks.

This isn't a lot more money than the FX No-Limit rings.... and yeah, they would be a PITA to dial in.... I just ran into another piece of kit.... Waayyyy too expensive, but I may be able to make my own.... It's in my thread on the Dual Tank Benchrest, Reply #47....

Easy to adjust (though not a continuous dial), and should be rock solid once locked up.... My idea is to have 160 MOA total available, good to 500 yds. with slugs....

These looks quite rigid.

Yep, pretty much the industry standard.... but twice what I paid for my scope!....  ::)

I have figured out how to make my own.... It adjusts in 20 MOA steps, not continuous, but I'll have 160 MOA available (with 20MOA built into the base), which will be good for over 500 yds.... Here is the principle it works on....

There is a commercial version available, but only half the travel (70 MOA)....

You loosen the pivot bolts 1 turn, adjust the asymmetric octagonal cam for the rise you want, and then retighten the two bolts.... Should be rigid and repeatable....
