Try the domed Falcon 7.33's.I was shooting Meisterkugeln 7.0's for a long time, then switched to the Falcon's. Accuracy was much better. Did not do any chrono tests for spread, but the Falcons do seem to shoot much better.https://www.pyramydair.com/product/air-arms-falcon-177-cal-4-52mm-7-33-grains-domed-500ct?p=714Holy crikes, have pellets gone up that much in price lately?? Glad I have a good supply of them.
That string still isn't too bad, but obviously your R7 likes the German stuff a little better maybe!FWIW, in my 90's-vintage, Maccari-kitted R7, the AA Falcon runs a bit more consistently than the JSB-labeled 7.3 Exacts. Odd as they are from the same factory of course, but there ya go.

Problem I have with the 7.3 falcon or JSB is if I’m not careful I bend skirts loading them. Yes my 7.3 are exacts.

Does your thumb get sore?-Y

That honking! Good numbers all around.
I want my springers to have a spread of 10 or less. -Y
(snip)... That’s going to round out my springers for awhile. ...(snip)
Quote from: Yogi on July 12, 2022, 12:28:17 AMI want my springers to have a spread of 10 or less. -YSame here. I prefer "single digit spreads" (less than 10) with my .177 HW95 and .177 R9. Funny thing is that I found that "tight velocity spreads" didn't necessarily mean "small groups" depending on the pellet. When, decades ago, I bought a chrony to use with my .177 Beeman R10 I was checking out different pellet brands. There was one cheap brand of 8ish grain Beeman pellets called the Bearcub, however the tin I had was mis-marked BearCUPS on the label (should have saved that tin for a pellet collector).......... Anywhoo, while that pellet gave only 4 fps deviation from the R10 it was woefully inaccurate compared to others tested. In the beginning I would shoot rested groups upstairs at 12 yards (longest distance at the West Virginia home). At that short range resting the R10 on a pillow on a closed sewing cabinet I shot more than a couple 3 shot groups with .177 RWS SuperMag wadcutters where the "3 shot hole" in the target paper was tight enough to support a new SuperMag without falling through. On the other hand the cheaper BearCub would group in the 1/2" ctc size. Problem with the "tight shooting at 12 yards" RWS SuperMag was that after about 30 yards (BearCubs wouldn't group well at only 12 yards) the SuperMags would sail off on their own from the R10 and group poorly compared to a good fitting die lot marked and dated Crosman Premier with a deviation of 10ish fps.I've never owned a PCP but I've been told that a PCP will shoot accurately with a much higher velocity deviation than a springer, about 30fps deviation. It makes no sense to me but I've been told similar stories from other PCP shooters.
FWIW, in my 90's-vintage, Maccari-kitted R7, the AA Falcon runs a bit more consistently than the JSB-labeled 7.3 Exacts. Odd as they are from the same factory of course, but there ya go.

Odd as they are from the same factory of course, but there ya go. That's because the AA pellets are made with Air Arms' own dies, in the JSB factory.
