Anybody figured out how to release the pressure in one that doesn't have the pressure release screw? The vortex cylinder in my 135 doesn't have one and id like to be able to fiddle with the pressure to find the most accurate.

Some have tried pumping it up enough to open the fill valve then slowly releasing the bleed valve, or best to hope the handpump has a very slow leak so the valve will release some air. Have not heard of any success

There is NO INLET CHECK VALVE in the current Vortex designs. The procedure described will only add air to the Vortex until an o-ring FAILS or the tube ruptures.
When air pressure in the probe port is HIGHER than air pressure INSIDE, the pressure shifts an o-ring slightly OFF-SEAT which allows the air IN.
When air pressure in the probe port is LOWER than air pressure INSIDE, the pressure shifts an o-ring ON-SEAT which keeps the air IN.
Theoretically unscrewing either endcap will eventually unseat an o-ring and air will rush out through the remaining threads.
I have NOT been able to turn either end while under pressure and am reluctant to apply more force until an endcap turns.
If you are able to unthread either end under pressure I am UNCERTAIN the reduced number of threads can handle the pressure force without DAMAGE until the o-ring seal breaks and allows the air to rush out.
THIS COULD BE A VERY DANGEROUS WAY to de-air a Vortex.
If someone successfully de-airs a Vortex by unthreading one end please post back your experience.
If anyone KNOWS FOR CERTAIN this procedure will cause permanent damage and/or injury, PLEASE post the WARNING here!
