What airgun related did you do today?

Wrote to Balistas in the Czech Rep, asking them when they will have this AA S400 in stock as they now ship to the US. I think they gave it a go, this international shipping thing, just a few months ago 

I like this one much better than the heavily discounted BSA R10 AoA is selling, but I have also been looking at that one as so so option.

I like AA's S series PCPs; very simple to work one and they're elegant 

Mundilar also sells the same AG but the stock is not walnut. More expensive in price and shipping as well.

I got a reply right away but they were asking me more questions.

I really hope to get this AG or the walnut S500 XS, which I also inquired about. You can preorder one from PA and wait 3 months; that’s too much waiting for an outright purchase, IMHO 

Not interested at all in the S410/S510 as I don’t really like magazine-fed airguns

Belle and I did some truck hunting today.  Belle hung out the passenger side window with her tongue lolling.  I drove.  We went upriver to the dog hunt area of the WMA but it was a bit busy up there.  We walked a mile or so of the Florida trail but saw no game.  Back in the truck we rattled over forest roads on the west side of the river.  We saw multiple flocks of turkey and several herds of deer.  Off forest highway 22 there are a series old borrow pits now shallow weedy ten acre lakes.  I carried a bow and my only two fowling arrows.  We were able to jump up some ducks at the second lake but too far away for a shot.  Belle had a ball in the shallow water.  We loaded up again and bumped over forest road 338 through some huge potholes and truck wallows.  If it wasn't a dry year we would never have made it through.  Near Wood Lake we stopped again and walked a fire road down into the river floodplain.  The road ends at a half acre Apiary.  The beekeeper doesn't have any hives there right now and it makes a good clearing to watch for squirrels.  Someone was hunting squirrels with a shotgun from a boat near by when we got there so that was a bust too.  We got home about 01100 and now we are contemplating a jaunt around my local permission before dinner.

I got motivated to try and further stabilize the scope mount on my Crosman 3622.  I had already cut and fitted a short piece of Crosman barrel spacer to go between the plastic breech and the first barrel band.  Today I glued it firmly between the reservoir tube and the barrel.  Then I reattached the Crosman intermounts to the barrel and topped them with a super light 4X scope and Warne Vapor rimfire rings.  The result is lighter than my Crosman 2100 with a 3-9X32 Barska scope.  This set-up feels much more stabile than the previous scope/rings/mounts combination.  Whilst I was digging through boxes of airgun junk looking for a Quattro trigger assembly today I found a couple dozen .22 caliber NOE cast slugs that somebody sent me to try.  Looking forward to trying some in the 3622 tomorrow.

I got an email again from the lady at Balista's, aha!

Quite frankly , I'm tempted to flirt with her, lol, haha!

Anyway, she said the S500 XS .22 in walnut is not available (I was a bit partial to this one  ), but the one I originally asked about, the classic S400 .22 in walnut, will be in a week or two, aha!

I haven't purchased any whole airgun, just Crosman parts, since 2020, so this will be it 

I'm already having dreams about it

I ran my compressor and filled a couple guns. My 30 cal armada is ready for tuning. Hopefully tomorrow. I think there's a problem with my gen 1 marauders regulator. Here's a couple pics.

I painted white nail polish on the Blue Streak's front sight post. The old white mark was not bright enough in dim light. It is better now. Hope to shoot it this weekend and check sight adjustment.

While crouching in front of the rows of nail polishes and other girlie cosmetics, I must've had quite a frown on. My husband wheeled the grocery cart toward me and commented, "This must be a first for you."

Well, yes, it IS the first time I painted anything on a gun. And there *won't* be a first for painting my nails, or dabbing on makeup.

If the nail polish doesn't last on the sight, would automotive touchup paint be better?

With the help of my buddy Jim and phone support from Mark611 I installed a ARH magnum kit in my HW80, everything turned out great and it's much more powerful. I don't have a chronograph at the moment because I accidentally shot the on/off switch off of the one I had so I won't know how fast it shoots until I buy another one. No spring buzz, just a loudish POP when it goes off. This is all I can relay to you guys for now, once I get another chronograph I'll post some velocity numbers👍

Kids all left today so was able to play with my new Diana Bandit Black. I think I'm going to like this gun alot. It's my 1st PCP pistol.

I put the gen 1 marauder back in its case and finally got some pics of my M25 357 mag for a possible source. Then I pulled out what limited supply of 30 cal slugs I have. I want to tune the 30 cal armada to right around 100 fpe. Anyways I have a s-ton of 30 caliber pellets. Wow.

No need really. I have every intention of bringing that one back to original as a C02 gun.... at this point anyways.

LOL...  not sure  if I would call them "skills".
I've always been one to look at a pile of stuff and see it's potential. I also find ways to make what I need/want from what I have.
However, in the case of airguns, I've learned what I know right here on the GTA and just searching the web.
There are so many generous and helpful folks here.
