Have noticed zero flexing when pumping up to eight pumps anyway. And, I've probably fired 1500-2000 times using eight pumps. I've backed off to six pumps recently, as even at that, it seems pretty potent to me.
I don,t make a habit of pumping 12 but once in a while I will. The gun will handle twelve pumps just fine. Out of the seven I have had no issues at all with the thousands of rounds I put through them. Mike
Not happy with the flex with the stock pump arm/lever at 8 to 12 twelve pumps. You can see and feel the flex, thinking of adding some type of material to make a more rigid unit. Aluminum or a peace of hard wood. Have any of you tried this? I think you could get some gains in performance with the stiffer lever. More efficient strokes into the valve. Please chime in. Mike

The first one is a flexi-flyer for sure. The one that's used currently is a lot stiffer than the early type. You can easily tell them apart by checking the reinforcement ribs built in to the new lever that are missing from the old. A new plastic lever is $4 plus shipping.
I really dont notice any fex in mine. It seems like the first is as easy as the tenth.
