Hey, Robin. I remembered from another thread that you, just by chance, got this gun when you called AOA one day. I wonder if this gun was originally returned to AOA for this exact issue.

It's still a USED gun at this point.
That's right, I remember something like that....You called and made a deposit and they called you back shortly after saying they had just found one in stock or something?Hmmmm...

Having fun. Barely notice the blem. Can't see it at all thru the scope. It's a Thumper for sure. Thirsty though, down to 3000psi on my scuba tank and that's barely 1 24 shot mag thru the gun on power 4. It was two mags on a full charge. I have no money left for a big 4500psi CF tank right now, so it's going to have to be Scuba for a while. I've probably filled the Impact 10 times now. A tin & a half of pellets. Got to stop wasting them with the Chrony.Don't be so hard on AOA, I accepted the offer, no one forced me and Thumper is working terrific.
Quote from: MonsterMaxx on August 17, 2017, 05:40:24 PMThey say that FX guns are made to perform, if I wanted one to hang on the wall I should get a Daystate.Okaaay.Also offered me a small discount for the blem, so rather than futzing around w/ what otherwise is a nice shooter, I took the discount. It's OK. If I sent it back who knows if I'd get another nice shooter like this again. Could be other issues next time. Certainly are enough complaints about impacts on the interwebs. Roll of the dice and I ain't feeling lucky.Plus I wouldn't have a gun for a month or two.Meh.It's a shame that FX doesn't have tighter QC than this, but it is a high production environment w/ a very popular selling rifle.AOA handled it well as far as I'm concerned and I'm back to shooting it...or was until the sun hit my table and it got too hot. Dangit, 95° here today. And that would have been my last purchase from AOA.... What the ^*&@, a 2k gun can look like carp right out of the box but it's OK because it meant to be a shooter not wall hanger? Small discount or not, AOA would never see another penny from me.
