Loved it, there should be more songs like this!
-
if you put blue loctite on the screws can you check your screws less often?
-
Great !!!! ROFLMBO ;D
-
What screws? I've replaced them with rivets. :o
-
Don't care how old this is it is the first time I have heard it and I love it.
Mike

Very good.

Have this as my ring tone now.

Great song, very catchy but....being new to air guns which screws need checking?????
-
That was great!

It's my impression that ALL the screws on a spring piston airgun need checking. On my HW95, there are two screws on the forearm, and two on the trigger. And there's also the pivot arm screws which need attention once in a while too. I finally blue loctited the trigger screws (again) and put screw cups in for the stock screws. Hopefully that will take care of this for a while...
I took the iron sights off, because they distracted me with their shadowy image in the scope... So those don't need checking anymore...

Its a good habit to check all the screws everytime you go to shoot... Saves a lot of frustration down the road! My springer and gas piston both come loose every now and then along with scope mounts. even locktighting them doesn't always work!
-
I keep a close eye on the screw behind the trigger :-\
-
Neat video!! Thanks very much!!
-
i found my POI will shift as much as 1.5" at 10 yards if i don't keep the front mount screws secure on my RX... :o
-
I've used loctite on my PBs before but was wondering if anyone uses that stuff on their AG stock screws.
-
Not to mention, makin' sure yer own screws aren't loose or missing. You'd be surprised how much is human error? error? ERROR? Must anylize errrooorrrr...eeeerrrrooooooorrrrrr.....bbffpppfffttttzzzzzzz YOU ARE IMPERFECT! EXECUTE YOUR PRIME FUNCTION! Errrrorrrrrorrrrorrrrr...steriliiiizzzze eeeerrrorrrrrrr......PUFFFFIzzzzzleee

Lol,great song makes me feel better when I have the springer blues
-
I just registered yesterday and said hello. This is my first "real" post and all I can say is:
After listening to that song, I will never EVER forget to check my screws!
That is serious Zen advice for all manner of things in life. Shooting, spousal relationships, anything mechanical, fishing, athletic pursuits of all kinds....
I think I just received a pearl of air gun wisdom that will save me hundreds of hours of frustration.
Thank you.
-
I will do this for now on.
-
Good place to start for a newbie.
My RWS has been giving me fits, looks like it's time to check. Had it for years and never thought about it till now.
Thanks Pat
-
HAHAHAH!
Love it! That's hilarious!
(And true!)
;D

Enjoyed the song, and the important message.
I recently discovered my Ruger Yukon needs fairly close attention in this respect. But I haven't had my Hatsan 87 long enough to notice if it shares this problem. However, this was the first thing I checked after un-boxing it. And all were tight.
-
I heard this one day before my groups started opening up. My Crosman Phantom is zeroed at 20 yards, and at that range, it typically shoots them into one ragged hole. I checked my screws and found 2 of the stock screws, and 3 scope mount screws loose. So this little ditty saved me a ton of aggravation, thank you so much for posting it. :D

It is the key to air gun happiness 8)
-
I’m going to play this for my wife just to see her face. Should be good for a few laughs.
-
Great post. And yep I just thought I'd check, and yep they needed a bit of tightening. Much better groups instantly! Will not forget this, thank you.
-
I sighted in my Ruger Air Hawk Elite II more than a half dozen times with a nice Bushnell
3x9x40 scope. From day to day it was shooting flyers now and then. I removed the screws
and secured them with blue lock tite and let is sit for a few days. No more flyers....Nice song
and voice... 8)

Check your 🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶 Scre—————ws 🎶🎵🎶🎶🎵!!!

That was pretty amusing and I learned something too :D
-
I absolutely love her voice! Definitely infectious.

Why is this a sticky. The front page is getting pretty cluttered. As of today 13 of 25 threads on the front page are stickies.
-
Why is this a sticky? Because some of us wanted it to be a sticky, because it's nicely done, and because it's a very helpful hint that is easily overlooked, when accuracy is failing for no discernable reason. ;)

You go girl! ;D

Mainly because for just about every AG out there loose stock screws are a very often overlooked source of accuracy issues. This holds especially true for the cantankerous new & old springers. It is not usually a recurring problem with PCP AG's but from tim to time it happens with NIB PCP rifles ;) ;D
-
MY HW97 had loose screws yesterday. Accuracy was not the same until I checked my screws. I'll check more often.

I put blue LocTite on the screws and they haven't come loose yet. When you want to remove them, just heat up the screw head with the tip from a soldering iron.
WARNING: Don't use the red LocTite. Always use the blue stuff.
-
Just learned this lesson again...
-
LOL! That was funny!
-
Today was a Hatsan check your screw day, install a dovetail to picatinny adapter and scope. Shot 140pellets and had a great time. Busted lots of paper.
-
Sesame Street knew long ago, if we just put a catchy song to it They'll pay attention and learn! Great Idea, and thank you. I lent my springer to a friend and his son a couple years ago. I should at least go over there and "check the screws", or buy another one. Or Both?
Kinda miss that gun.
-
I've listened to this song about a dozen times.
When I am cantankerous (for lack of a better word), I come back and listen to it.
It never fails to bring a smile to my face.
Thanks, Appel! Thanks GTA!

I don’t have a springer but that was an awesome some and great voice.
-
Sill applies to PCP at times too. ;)
-
Just listened to this for the first time,: Great, nice lyrics and wonderful voice; and, such a good message.
Steve

That was good and so true.

How appropriate at this time in my rekindled air rifle journey...
Two days ago I was test firing a pre-owned Diana 54 AirKing I was considering purchase of. On the second shot there was a screw sitting on the bench. I wound up buying the gun and now I get to figure out where that screw came from! :-)
-
I just recently wondered why my shot groups on my HW95 kept getting worse and worse. The second 20 bull target was considerably worse than the first. :-[
I felt terrible because I thought I'd lost any progress I'd made on perfecting my hold. :-\
Then in the middle of the night it occurred to me that the screws might be loose... So much for remembering the basics of springers.
When I checked the next day, sure enough one of the stock screws was about to fall out. Rookie mistake! ::)
The blue Loctite has been applied to the stock and trigger screws for a week or two.
Time to get it back out and try again. I imagine the groups can only get tighter, right? :D
-
I love that song it's hilarious and so well done!
