Looks like a B-3.
-
It appears you're correct. Someone near me is selling it, but wasn't sure what it was, and I figured someone here would certainly know what it is. Thanks!
-
Awhile back someone posted as a reply to a question exactly like yours... He stated that everytime hes sees a thread entitled "What is this gun?" he automatically figures it to be an Industry Brand air rifle. When I saw this thread's title, I just knew what it was going to be.... Yes, an Industry Brand B3-X.
-
Not worth more than $20 or so.
-
Yup. I said B3 to myself before I even clicked on it 😀

This photo should be a sticky.

Interesting, but my B-3 has the hooded front sight as shown on the -1 and -2 but has the little lever in front of the trigger as shown on the -3. I can't tell that the lever does anything other than make it harder to get your finger on the trigger. It will fire with it in either position. What's it supposed to do?
My stock has a split longways across the cheekpad. Had it when I bought it new years ago. Hasn't gotten worse yet and is functional. I thought about filling it with epoxy. Is there an inexpensive synthetic stock available anywhere that will fit this gun?
Thanks,
Herman

Herman;
I'm not surprised about your front sight being different at all. My B3-3 has a removable rear sight mounted on the rail grooves. The little lever in front of the trigger is the safety. Something may just be misaligned in the trigger group. I do know that some of the pins in the trigger group are held in place by the stock and if not careful, can fall out and become lost when the stock is removed. I bought a couple B3-4 guns from a wholesale site that had synthetic green camo stocks. I wouldn't know if they would fit or even where to get them. One suggestion would be to fill the crack in the stock with epoxy or putty then paint the stock with truck bedliner paint. It drys very hard and gives the finish a textured look.

IIRC it also has a leather piston seal... :-\ ???

X2. Except it's not a stupid question, just frequent. Asking it is kind of an initiation rite, so I think from now on I'll train myself to think "Cool. Another member to the club."
-
Yes, it is a Industry Brand B3-1. But more correctly it is a finished kit of unfinished parts I had 11 or 12 of them. Now I'm down to the two keepers. I brought a buddy's home from a fun shoot to rebuild for him.

I hope nobody thinks I implied it was a stupid question. Not my intent at all. Just pointing out that 9 times out of 10, when someone poses this question, it turns out to be one version or the other of the industry brand rifle. It is almost predictable.

Certainly not, and you're right about the frequency. I just want B3 newcomers to feel free to ask. Later when they search for more information they will see this and realize they are part of a proud tradition, and that they're "in." Not a slight to you at all.
There have been threads on this forum with photos of peoples' B3's. Maybe we should expand on paddyfritz's suggestion and start a "sticky" with links to the B3 world - a repository of B3 information for new owners.
-
The other day someone posed the "question" but it was a TS 45 in the picture. I had two 45's but traded one yesterday at our fun shoot for a stock for one of my Strikers.

Thank you again for your contribution to the collection. 8)

I posted and got the same answer about two years ago. I enjoyed the fuss and I also enjoy the B3! I hope yours shoots well! Of course mine likes the most expensive pellets, JSB 8.44. How do you like yours?

What the heck?
Check the middle rifle:

M-14 sort of a critter.
But the legend embossed on the stock reads" Cal. 6mm BB"
That's a new one on me...........

Ron, to add to the confusion, the top gun in you pic. that looks like a B3 is not a Industry Brand B3. It is a Snow Peak B4-2. You can tell by the oversized trigger guard and the way the receiver sticks out the back of the stock. I got two of them. One is the first gun I re-built and a .177, 625fps, paint ball buster.

Is that good ??

One shoots great, the other is in the parts bin.

I keep waiting for someone to post a picture of a “ thumb !”
-
;D
-
No I.D. on the M1-14????
-
That's not the thumb I was thinking about. I was waiting on a picture of a smashed thumb from these rifles.

You like seeing smashed thumbs? Should I get rid of all my under and side levers? Did you know the anti-bear trap on a B3 works like the one on a HW97. Normal precautions will protect your fingers. I'm sure some guys get pinched by a break barrel.

GEEZ !

I was told by a member when I got my B3-2 as pmt for restoring a 760 Powermaster variant 2 for a new friend that it was a B3-2. The pics above claim that if it has the safety lever, it's a B3-3? The rubber butt pad doesn't fit either?

That bottom pic must be a later B3-3, since mine has the safety lever, but globe front sight. Rather than the day glow plastic rod thing. Earlier Version of the 3rd variant?
