I'm enjoying the Maximus, but as I slowly recover from surgery, the thought of the extra weight doesn't bother me as much. Learning what I can on them. Maybe an M-Rod in my future!Did get the BNM breach ordered for the Max, and a very helpful member here sent a set of QD rings for it, as I didn't' have any for Weaver/Picatinny. Thanks Guy!!! Knife
I kind of went "way far" with the slow tube.Slow tube managed 21.5 foot pounds. That's way-way slow, but kind of "springer-ish" in power. Nice for farting around in the back yard.Kind of cranked up (although it can go faster), it's more like 20 shots.Just that "diminishing returns" thing....get a lot more energy out with little "blips" of air/low energy shots than you do with big "blasts" of air/hihger energy shots.
Newer tubes have a stiffer valve spring in them. You will get slower velocities with it.
