I bought my first Supersport SE a little over a year ago and tuned it nice and soft with a .120 spring. It shoots .22 Superpoints at 560fps for about 10.6 fpe and JSB RS at about 630 for 11.8fpe. It is so easy to cock, and the recoil feels like little more than a 'click. ' I've wanted to get back into it and work with spacing and piston weight to get a little more power out of it, but it's my girlfriend's favorite gun, and she has pretty much forbade me from changing anything about it.
Well, finally the Amazon overlords dropped the price again, and I grabbed another one a few weeks ago. The two have consecutive serial numbers. For this one, I cut a .125x34 spring down a few coils, ditched the massive piston weight, and spent a bunch of time experimenting with weight and spacing. I finally settled on replacing the OEM plastic sleeve with a metal one from an RWS 350, and used an ARH aluminum spacer. It is much less jumpy than it was with the OEM .128 spring with our without the OEM weight. It is shooting JSB RS accurately at 680 fps for 13.8 fpe, and CPUM at 640 for 13fpe.
So now we have a his and hers pair. I just love the ergonomics of these guns. They're like an HW50S with a slightly longer barrel and wee bit shorter, more comfy LOP.
Thanks for reading!
