I have also owned a PE some yrs back, it was a very nice break barrel rifle but it was very heavy! IMO you should look at a R1 carbine, parts for the PE are hard to find and their not worth $800 unless ur a serious collector and could find 1 in 100% condition JMO,

May I be so bold as to sale how much she set you back? Is it in .22?
Had a few over the years. Never had a lemon. In .22, 21-22 fpe, and awesome accuracy, .5" or slightly less at 50yds, seated FT position with little to no wind. Used it with great results on CA ground squirrel hunts, too.
