i picked up a fantastic 1949 crinkle paint variant 101 a while back & gave it to my brother for Christmas last December. it was his first air rifle. he now has 4 rifles and is as excited as i am about air gunning.i dug out my old 1946-1948? 101 and am currently working with a board member here to get her resealed. as soon as she's up and running my brother and i will go small game hunting with our 101s.these rifles are great.

They are hard to beat really. DT Flecther the Crosman expert and book writer called them the best field air gun ever made. Hard to argue. As time went on things tended to get cheaper not really that much better. I tend to prefer the 102 cause I think loading the pellet is easier one a a time than with the 101?
