If anyone has been looking for a 102, someone posted on fleabay a pretty nice checkered one and a few others with best offer options. Don't know the seller and I'm sitting on my hands for the $95 102 but I've already got 2.
Glad someone in the forum got it. Ya I saw the 102 with the early wood forearm, and thought about it but I've got two early ones with the clickless forearm that shoot pretty welll.(one steel and one brass barrel) Hopefully someone here picked up the other ones and will post pictures of it. You gonna use the parts on that nicely wooded 102 you have?
Flint, I'm just happy a forum member bought so at least I can see pictures of them and see how they turn out. I wanted to put an offer for the wooden forearm one but I'm already over the limit. Hope it works out well for you.
The $95 102 arrived today, I was surprised how nice it is. Still has case hardening on sight. Looks like all original parts. The wood looks like it’s been in a barn for 70 years! but no cracks the finish has just turned very dark. If the seal kit works it could be a very cool gun with a little clean up. These are just such well made guns, weights much more than you think it would, be interesting to check the brass barrel for rifling. David I own you one.
That is a really beautiful rifle, exceptional wood! Have you resealed one of these before? Pretty easy to work on.
I still have to resealed the one in this thread, just lazy, parts are here. Three years ago when I retired I thought I would start collecting airguns and I saw this 102 on EBay and just loved the stock so I did the “buy it now” for $125. Before he shipped it he said he was wrong in his ad and it didn’t hold air so he reduced the price. When I got it I cocked it and it was fine, assumed he didn’t do that? Imagine getting this gun as your first try at vintage collecting?

I try not to do unnecessary work on the old ones so if the seals work well I will leave it until they need to be replaced. Kinda if "it's not broke don't fix it" attitude. I realize with old seals the clock is ticking, but they may last a long time too. I have the tools and am not afraid to work on them when needed. I Chrony them to evaluate them too.
