Wind is always a challenge at longer ranges. Even with a heavier .22 I’ve had good groups sent into the stratosphere by a puff of crosswind that came up just as I shot. With a noticeable crosswind I’ve had trouble keeping my shots on the paper as my range is next to a pond and the ground slopes up from left to right significantly so the wind is always going up or down as well as cross or in and out.

Had to rezero my scope in at 20-25 yards, for pest management purposes. I am going to have to put this on hold for a while as my neighbor is struggling with squirrels in her garden.
I like to shot in the morning, when doing zeroing or this long range stuff. Because for me at least, in the morning it is dead calm not to mention cool enough to be outside without being cooked alive. I had decent luck yesterday. At 100 yards, I put 3 consecutive pellets within a 2 inch group 4 inches high of center. I'll pick up some domed pellets next time I go to town. I've never shot domes in any of my previous rifles so it'll be fun.
I also have a Benjamin Armada .177 with a bipod and a 4-16x50AO Mil dotted scope on order. I may once I get it and zero it, try it out at 100 yards just for the heck of it.

This Sunday there will be CASA Field Target at Angeles Shooting Ranges.
There is a sight in range and plenty of experience to assist, and some field target well suited to your springer at 55 yds.
If you're looking to sharpen your skills, this is it.

Zackery,
Did you ever get back to shooting at longer ranges? For me, this is a good time of year, as the wind dies down for longer periods of time, unfortunately there isn’t as much daylight and the temperatures drop.
