Thanks for the great thread on your hunt “during your 80th year”… I enjoyed it, too. Especially, since I didn’t shoot any squirrels this year. Lord willing, we’ll both get some next season. Our squirrel season opens in May and rabbit season starts in September. I’ll likely wait for September for a chance at both, next year.

Good morning, John; and thank you for looking in on my thread this past season.
You mentioned rabbits. This past season, I saw a rabbit in an area where I had seen none before. But it was only the second one I saw at Permission #1. I don't remember seeing any at Permission #2. So, no rabbit hunting for me. I am guessing the Coyotes keep the population very low [almost extinct].
Yesterday, I took the Marauder .25 apart and changed all the o-rings. So, it will be ready to take a Coyote or three before the weather gets too warm.
Thanks again for the kind words.

Nice season total Mike, I lost count, let alone guess what guns were used
Took a tour of the squirrel woods, on a chipmunk safari, got a couple early chippers, but the squirrels are still very abundant, must be many rentals open for immediate occupancy. HOSP Chippers and Chucks will keep me busy till my late spring turkey, then back at the pesting.

Good morning, James. Thank you for your post.
Keeping a journal about my hunting seasons makes my son laugh. [He is way too busy for such foolishness.] But I enjoy looking back and comparing the years in Louisiana and here. Also, the changes from year to year are interesting and puzzling.
Stay well, my friend.

Hello Eddie and thank you for reading my thread.
It was a good season for my 80th year. And finishing it off the way things happened was great. The young man who co-owns/manages the ranch/farm was happy that I am able to contribute the things that I do. Loyal readers like you is part of what this Forum is for. Thank you much and I hope to see you next season.

Harry, it was my pleasure to bring the thread to this Forum. Posting my adventures has become a part of the seasons over the years.
Like I mentioned before, if HE sees fit to grant it, I will be back with more next season.
Thank you for being there, Harry.
