Hi all,
I have a Turkish Webley Longbow coming. Bought new, Lube tuned, from Paul @ Raneair.com.
How are these guns? Do they really have a LW barrel?
Anyone know where to get seals & springs from?
Thanks so much for the info.
This is THE forum!!

Mark, I have one of these in .22 cal. I was disappointed in the gun when it arrived. The shot cycle was rough and twangy and the trigger was terrible. Fortunately it was not too bad to disassemble and after smoothing everything out and making a plastic liner for the piston the cycle quieted down. The trigger was still terrible, however Paul sent me a link to a tuning guide and after taking the trigger apart and smoothing the contact surfaces with finer and finer emery paper down to 1200 grit and then polishing the surfaces with a buffing wheel it became acceptable. Still not perfect, but much better than original.
The gun now is smooth and pretty accurate. Mine prefers RWS Superdomes, H&N FTT, and CPHP in that order. It does not do well with any JBS pellets. I do not know if they are really HW barrels as Paul claims, but mine shoots pretty well so I assume he knows what he is talking about.
After a lot of work I think I'll keep this one. I had to take the trigger apart several times and once overdid the rounding on one of the sears and it would not stay cocked. After squaring it up however, the trigger has worked much better than it did out of the box.
