Hi all.... I’m really new to air guns, I need some help. I’ve been a centerfire rifle shooter for years, but this is new territory to me. Uncharted waters.I purchased a HW95 recently and spent a few extra dollars for a Mamba Ultralite 3-10x .I spoke to air guns of Arizona and they recommended a set of Hawke med rings with an arrestor pin (which I understand the concept of). When I got the rings, I was expecting the arrestor pin to fit “flush” in the holes on top of the barrel. I was very surprised to see that the pin is pointed and doesn’t completely fill the hole. Is this normal? Does that small pointy pin touching down into the hole really anchor the rings from sliding?I come from a picatinny rail background so this is new to me, and I feel dumb. I fully expected the pin to completely fill the hole on top of the rifle.Thanks.
