Title: Seneca Dragonfly or ARTEMIS/LR700W exploded view ?
Post by: Ultramarine on September 13, 2018, 11:13:26 AM
Using the rotary magazine of my Artemis LR700W, which is supposed to be the same as a Seneca Dragonfly, I've had a pellet perfectly jammed, so that I couldn't extract it, even with a cleaning rod. The rotary feeder was blocked, as well.
So I disassembled everything and I took the magazine off and  extract the damaged pellet.
Well, I had forgotten I have a poor visual memory (logical, not only visual...) and now I'm just unable to put things back together  :o!
Could anyone here tell me where I could find an exploded view of that rifle that would allow me to reassemble it ? I'd be grateful.. :-[

Eventually, no help needed : I used the exploded view of an Artemis PR900 (http://spares.bagnallandkirkwood.co.uk/artemis/artemis-pr900w-pr900-air-rifle-spare-parts/ (http://spares.bagnallandkirkwood.co.uk/artemis/artemis-pr900w-pr900-air-rifle-spare-parts/)) which is not exactly the same, but I succeeded.
BTW, it' seems there's no easy way to enhance the trigger on this rifle. The trigger blade is a rough piece of metal with a small hex screw almost welded to it, that determines  the course length, nothing else to be machined or modified. :D

Glad you got her back up and running.  My .177 is finaly coming around to what I knew it should do after some TP cleanup.   Great little guns.  Enjoy.

The big screw that holds on the trigger guard. The one that takes the allen key, that totally changed the pull of my trigger.  It is the only one on the trigger guard and is in front of the trigger. My trigger is really pretty nice.

Do you mean I should use a longer one ? Because for now, I can't screw it more thoroughly than what I do...

When I moved mine loosened  tightened, it totally change my trigger pull. Loosened it up to the point my trigger was the lightest. So mine is not all the way in.

I tried it but I couldn't find any difference, except that I was afraid having the trigger guard wobbling. Anyway, on my rifle , there's strictly no possible connection -direct or undirect-between that screw and the trigger blade.
So may be Seneca Dragonfly and SPA/Artemis LR700W are just not the same...

Though a poor tinkerer, I've been brave enough to try something more radical :o.
1. Changed the trigger spring for a softer one
2. Slightly hand polished the trigger part which engages in the hammer
3.As the hex screw on the trigger blade couldn't be moved, I put a very tiny piece of inox nail in its hole, set with some very light glue (the white one kind, for paper), just to prevent it could fall during reassembly.
Now I have a close-to-competition level trigger, extra sensitive with a short course, and the influence on the rifle accuracy is just amazing. I just systematically put the safety on and insert the pellet just before shooting, what I admit I didn't do before.
I know I should have taken pics, I know.... 8)

Good work!

I have never taken mine apart, so I can not say how things are connected. But when I tighted that screw my trigger got really bad. I could not feel it rumbing on any thing. I loosened it tell it got light again.
