One thing I've realized lately after buying .22 caliber barrels for many of my Weihrauchs' ................. I very much prefer .177, then again, I don't hunt. For me going .22 caliber has been a dead end .
Yeah,My airgun purchases have gotten a tad out of hand. I'd like to get down to 10.I look at this as a guilty pleasure ...... and I've never lost that much on resale, because I maintain them very well. The "cost hit" of this behavior has been worth the experience of ownership & tinkering time. One thing I've realized lately after buying .22 caliber barrels for many of my Weihrauchs' ................. When we first moved to Alabama from Ohio we moved into a house that was built in 1904 and moved 3 times since. That house screamed for the vintage décor. Betty Lou was the first with her vintage pots and pans, utensils and dishes. The blue specked stuff. Then I began hanging and displaying my vintage motorcycle stuff. Guns were the obvious nest phase. Vintage wood and metal pumpers. Crosman, Benjamin, Sheridan and some Red Ryder stuff. I couldn't get enough. The collection quickly grew to around 50 in just about a year. Through my scavenger hunts I found the GTA. Suddenly I wanted everything everyone else had. I wanted to learn to tune a springer... I bought 5 B1-2 from a wholesale club and did my best to make them what the could never be but boy did I have fun. I took vacation days from work to tinker. I turned a spare room into a gun shop. Began buying GAMOs and Stoegers and the sort to tune because I was a "master tuner" now. Then the "lego" gun affliction got me and I ran with it... and ran with it. Then it happened... I got blindsided by a little gem called the FD-PCP Gen I. 3 of them as a matter of fact. Each with both cal. barrels. Hand pumps cost what 2 1/2 of them did then so I had to have a scuba tank and fill source. Next phase was the metal/metal Daisy craze. And the 2100/2200. Then pistols, pumpers and C02. And along came a .22 SynRod and shortly there after... the SPAddiction. Several chopper and camos scattered here and there and ......Well yes.... yes, I'm a hoarder. There... I said it.
