A special "thank you" to Longhunter who not only put all the pieces of my disassembled Crosman 622 back together (a task that my local gunsmith could not do), he found the source of the leak that I wanted to locate and fix (no seal on the valve stem) and then replaced the valve stem and tested the heck out of the airgun until he was positive that it was holding C02.
I honestly don't think anyone else would have put more attention, knowledge, skill, and expertise into a repair than Longhunter did with that air rifle.
It now holds C02 with absolutely no leakage and functions perfectly. Smooth as glass.

what if we removed all the warning labels, and let nature take it's course?

Glad you're happy with it
.
Those 622's are sweet guns, when you take the time to do the " little things " to them to smooth them out.
