Recently we have been received several emails from former customers asking if we had the GRT-III triggers on Sale for $29.50.
The GRT-III Triggers have been $33.00 for years now and CharlieDaTuna is the only one using this exclusive design for the GTR-III Triggers. We would respectfully appreciate anyone who has bought or been contacted by someone selling our Brand GRT-III triggers for less than $33.00 to please contact us.
We only have one CNC shop that makes the genuine GRT-III triggers for us and he has been making them for us for over 8 years now. He also produces the CDT GRT-4 Triggers as well for us.
So please if you can let us know via PM or Email who may be behind these knock off triggers sold here in the US. This can be a safety issue and of concern to the entire airgun community.
Thank you
Gene Curtis

You may have to look no further than eastern Europe or to the east a little further to the lands of cheap knock offs and mega hackers to find the source and good luck stopping them
-
Yes thank you but I am only concerned with who and where they are being sold from. USA or Euro. We have several GRT trigger distributors in various Euro Countries now. Prices for the Genuine GRT-III triggers will not be sold for less than $33.00 there. We know we cannot stop or detoure sales of Knockoff GRT-iii triggers outside the USA, but it is a different story if someone is selling knockoffs of the GRT-III triggers within the USA.
I might add that the Genuine GRT-III triggers sold by us are completely safety testes and preset prior to shipping. We offer full money back warranty, on line support and phone support for the GRT trigger line and that includes the new CBR Triggers for the Newer Benjamin NP2.
Thank you

Hey Gene... Thanks for posting this! I was under the assumption that you weren't making the GRT III triggers anymore. While I have not been actively looking for a trigger replacement for my Crosman yet, I would like to know how to get the genuine, one & only CDT GRT III when I'm ready !
If I should come across any knock-offs in my surfing, rest assured I will let you know the full specifics!
Thanks from a very satisfied customer !

It could be a mistake made by people because on the site it says $29.50 for the trigger, without the shipping cost.
$33 with shipping.
-
On the Order Form it clearly states the correct pricing when someone places the order. Besides we would not put a price plus shipping because of the cost in shipping has gone from $1.12 to almost $2.50 a trigger and we have absorber the shipping difference in additional cost for over 5 years now.

On the order form it says $33, but I meant this.
"It now sells for $29.50 SAVE $5.50
plus $3.50 S&H for a total of $33.00."

I can't fine a patent on the GRT -III trigger . What is the patent number .

I installed one of CharlieDaTuna's triggers in a Benjamin NP XL 1200 .22 cal. WOW! What an amazing difference. I have talked others into putting CharlieDaTuna's triggers in their springers too. It is BS that someone is trying to cash in on someone elses hard work. Happy I was able to order it from the CharlieDaTuna site.

Quick Google search turned up this....

He may have been confused about the price, but he was directing potential customers your way with it. Looks like it was September of 2013 .
For over a year now folks from around the globe have frequently referenced this source... and price, for your trigger. Let's hope this resolves the presumed plagiarism.
-
Thank you, and that may explain it but our emails referencing the pricing have come here within the last couple months.
Lets hope so.
And thank you again once from

Now that Gene has passed on, are the GRT-III triggers still being sold? Just fill out the form and mail it in with check or m.o., per the website, as it was last year? I've got a Benjamin Prowler for which I've been meaning to get a new trigger.
-
Cathy, Gene's wife, has been running the CDT site for almost a year. Yes, she is continuing the business. Let's continue to support her and this great product!!!
-
Bump: more important now than ever before!
-
Has anyone ordered from Gene's wife Cathy lately? I've tried emailing her to be sure the GRT III is still available but haven't received a reply.
-
far as I can tell they're still in business.... the site is still open for business... the url is in gene_sc's sig and active....
-
Cathy is very much still in business. At one point she was having computer issues and not able to receive email. But that should have been cleared up. She's even coming out with a new and improved trigger shortly. And should be adding the PayPal option to the site. All coming in a bit. But if you're having issues contacting her let me know. She is listed in the GTA Mall and also has an icon and web shortcut that appears at the bottom of our pages here.

I can vouch for the superiority of Charlie's triggers over the "other" kind. Simply put, Charlie's triggers use a spring-pressurized screw to hold the sear bolt/screw in place, where the other one uses an adhesive called "Vibra-TITE" (http://a.co/3AwUQmr) to hold the sear screw/bolt in place, but this "adhesive" dissolves on contact with many lubricants, especially spray lubricants. This causes the trigger to go out of adjustment very quickly merely from the pressure of pulling the trigger.
The one advantage of the knock-off is that it uses a rounded sear bolt, which gives a little more predictability in the trigger let-off point. If you want the best of both worlds, get Charlie's trigger and use a Dremel, or just some very fine sandpaper to round off the screw/bolt.
Please do not reply to this post with flames! I am only trying to help, based on my experience!
