Career Sear/trigger adjustment ?
«

I know that that screw in front of the trigger guard on the Careers III and Ultra are for adjusting the Weight of the pull trigger.
Tomorrow i want to start trying lightening a bit the pull on my .25,
so,....if I unscrew it will it lighten ?
Thanks for tips that will shorten the time effort

manny, turning the screw clockwise lightens the trigger pull. make sure you "exert forward pressure on the lever" while doing this as per shin sungs instructions. ie. open the lever and push against the spring force, but dont cock it while turning the screw clockwise.

I agree with Grizzly, if you don't maintain the downward pressure on the cocking lever it can damage the sear which has the adjuster attached to it. The adjuster alters the degree of sear engagement and if you try to set it below approx 2lb pull weight it will be only a 'knife edge' that is holding the hammer back. A small knock can result in an accidental discharge, a potentially lethal situation. (Been there, done that, got the tee shirt!). A fraction of a turn on the adjuster at a time is the way to go, and check the gun is not cocked. Test the setting thoroughly before loading any pellets. This is not a match trigger.
