FWB 65 'Sport' Grips?

(1/2) > >>

hatrabbit:
I just rescued a Feinwerkbau 65 from a life of abuse and neglect.  It's got good bones but is slightly cosmetically challenged.  I have it all apart and the insides are great, just waiting on a couple of emails re: seals availability.

This gun was made in 1982 and has the adjustable anatomical grips.  I'd like to find a set of sport grips but I don't have enough posts under my belt to post in classifieds; anyone here know of an available set?

Thanks

Sport...u mean the black plastic grips ?

hatrabbit:
I've never had those grips, but from pictures I always thought they were wood.

Acapulco:
Check ebay from time to time and try calling David Slade. The sporter walnut grips will be easier to find.

Good luck

Mine have the walnut grips.  I got two a couple of years ago, both needed resealing and respringing so off to David Slade.  Got them back and then scrubbed the grips with mineral spirits and a surgical scrub brush.  Amazing how much grime came out of that stippling. A couple of applications of diluted tung oil and they look great.    I have seen pictures of black plactic grips, but prefer the look and feel of wood myself.  Unless they are really beat up large chips missing, I would try to clean and restore them.
