22cal Walther Talon Magnum - Spring Piston - (Hatsan 125)

I had the 22cal Walther Talon Magnum out shooting yesterday.
Last March was the last time that I shot this rifle.
I wanted to check & see if the Walther 4x32 scope on it was still holding zero.
I shot this rifle for quite some time. and it becomes a workout after 45 min minutes or so.
This rifle weighs in at 10 1/2 to 11 pounds scoped, and has a 50 pound cocking force.
It is a real hammer and always a thrill to shoot.
I was shooting 22cal Crosman 14.3gr. Hollow point pellets.
The rifle had previously been zeroed with different pellets so I had to adjust the scope for these pellets.
I spent about 10 minutes in zeroing the gun.
I zeroed the rifle at 35 yards.
Then I spent about 30 minutes just taking pot shots at "targets of opportunity".
I was taking enjoyment in just the casual shooting of this rifle.
Once I decided to get serious, I then set up a target out at 50 yards.
I took 15 shots, shooting at a 6 inch Shoot N See stick on target.
I was standing shooting semi off-hand with the rifle braced on an upright door jamb.
All the shots were within 2 inches and many landed inside the 1 1/2 inch inner ring.
This was not my best day with this rifle but not too bad.
Best Wishes - Tom

I like the sound of the Talon magnum.
My observations of the photo are not meant to be anything but constructive.
It looks to me as if the rifle is canted while resting on the door jamb and thumb. Also the rifle looks to be supported by the thumb on the right side but free on the leftside.
The photo might be just a pose for the media but it might be a photo taken of a shot.
I just wonder if my observations have an effect on accuracy?

Hi Hugh.
The photo is just a demonstration of how I shoot.
The rifle in the photo is a 117cal Umarex NXG APX multi pump.
You could be right though, it is possible that I may have canted the rifle while shooting.
I'm 74 years old and my accuracy has not improved with age.
Some days I do better than others.
Thank you for your reply.
