1962 2nd variant Crosman model 400

(1/8) > >>

bantam5s:
I bought it off Ebay recently,  and it's currently out for delivery scheduled for this afternoon.

The plan is to deal with the 1 or 2 rust scabs on the barrel, go over the stock with a little mineral spirits and furniture polish, then add the studs swivels and sling.

The seller says it shoots strong and holds air, but they also said in the description that it uses 1 co2 cartridge so I don't really know what to think and will have to see this afternoon.
Hopefully it's waiting for me when I get off work.

TerryM:
Might have a cartridge stuck in it...

That could be, I hadn't even thought of that.

I guess the seller just made an error on the single cart description, and they were technically right that it does shoot but it leaks pretty quickly and definitely needs seals.

It definitely didn't have a lot of rust, but the rust it did / have was pretty rough.

I took off the rust, but I'm not going to worry about the pitting and finish damage in these spots because they don't bother me.

The stock pretty much just has these 3 marks and that's it.

Overall the gun is in great shape.

Spacebus:
Decent figuring on that stock as well. Definitely a cool find.
