If it is a 137 and not a 130 someone has shot bb's out of it. But some rifling should still be visible. I have both a 137 and 130. My 130 still shoots pellets better than BB's even without rifling.
I couldn’t see the rifling without magnification. I just assumed it didn’t have any but after Don’s follow up I used my iPhone to blow it up then used the flash. There’s very distinct rifling. I can’t help but think this was adult owned due to its overall condition. I still haven’t figured out how to overcome the picture size limit, otherwise I’d post more.
Mike, not really familiar with the 137 model I didn’t realize just how nice it was for its age. I knew it hadn’t been “cleaned up”. I figured it was used some and gently put away. No corrosion, wood is great and just the slightest wear on top from pump action.I had no idea it fell into the 46-56 group.
I wonder if sometimes we take for granted that some of these guns are 100% original. From 1950 to 2023 is a long time. I'm sure we are not the first to tinker, mix and match.
Curiosity is killing me!
Gary, that was just thoughts spilling from my head... no way it was questioning your gun.
Aha, it’s non magnetic. I have some of those micro magnets and it’ll pull like crazy on everything but the sight.
