Hi everyone,I have just had an old Gecado model 6 pistol returned to me after loaning it out some 35 years ago. It was only just new at the time and I had probably put about 1000 pellets thru it in club competitions. Now it has probably only had another 1000 thru it so it is in excellent condition, except : it breaks and cocks fine but after firing, the pellet is still in the barrel, unmoved. What do I need to do to fix it- lube it, replace any seals, etc, etc. Although the pamphlet says 1962, I think its date of manuf would have been around 1980. Any help or advice would be greatfully received. Thanks, Ray.

Not an air pistol you want to start with as others have said. Prob. 150$ at least with shipping. There are several places to send to.Airgunwerks David Slade is one. Probably 4 out of 5 Diana 6 series have crumbled seals if they haven’t been recently replaced…They’re great pistols….The only truly recoiless air pistol ever made….I’ve rebuilt 15 - 20 pistols and a couple Giss rifles [ Diana 60,65,66 match rifles]. Good Luck

Good LuckHow about the Diana 10M? How about it is right. Diana’s most advanced air pistol. The 10’s would also have crumble seals. I’ve had a few 10’s and resealed a couple. Same internals. The difference is in the trigger assembly. Totally different from the 5,6’s. Also the most complex pistol trigger unit I’ve ever seen. That pistol had six parameters of adjustment. Crazy. Didn’t go anywhere for Diana as co2 and pcp we’re starting to appear as the 10 came out. It was also pretty heavy. Sold my last one a while ago ,as I’ve moved to air rifles primarily. A million time more choices with rifles. -Y
