To date I have replaced 2 Hatsan Edge/Striker Vortex III rams with Crosman NP rams.Super cheap and not too difficult...need to make 1 spacer....Both turned our really excellent!OP...PM me if you wanna discuss.........On second thought...I will not compete against mikeyb.............he has helped me way too much....
It's worth saving.

I cut my teeth on tuning and repairing airguns on springers. It's not scary at all once you do it. Just take your time and keep safety in mind.

The pipe clamp needs to have a lot of travel because hatsans have a lot of spring preload. I used a old C clamp that I cut 1 end off and just bolted the clamp to a piece of plywood and re enforceed it with 2x4s to keep it from bending. Worked great on my Diana m48 when I installed a vortec kit. It will be interesting how it does when I take the hatsan 125 sniper apart to maybe cut a few coils.
Yep.Just did an NP conversion on a .25 cal Edge. Turned out sweet!!I am anxious to see this Mod 95 Vortex...it is a .22cal........I wonder why Hatsan doesn't do product diagrams on the Vortex models...at least not on the 95 Vortex..??Or, am I missing something ??Someday I gotta start doing something with all these critters...........

Pm me how much. I'm trying to get it a little easier to cock. It takes both hands to cock the monster. I'm actually not sure about that but trying to find options. My d48 with a vortec spring kit is way way easier to cock. Of course I haven't had a break barrel since around 92 so my muscles aren't use to the cocking motion used with a break barrel. You're right about not caring about loosing a few fps as the thing is throwing 10.05 jsb slugs out at 954 fps.
Mod95 Vortex QE, NICE, can't see the caliber. Have Mod95s in all calibers but the 22s are my favorite/best performer. The 177 and 25 shoot fine also. I have the same model pictured in 22 cal and it is also my most recent Vortex leaker. I had decided to convert to coil spring and ordered one from Hatsan. Also ordered the main tube end cap that is specific to the coil spring models. It has 3 holes for the 3 cross pins. The main tube end cap for the Mod95 Vortex is different having only 2 holes for cross pins as one of the cross pins goes through the extended base of the Vortex. When converting to coil spring the 3 hole end cap is needed. I'm fairly certain the 3 hole end cap will be needed for the NP conversion as well. I did NOT order a coil spring guide because I make my own guides which work much better that the wimpy little stock spring guide. A conversion to NP works very well in the Striker/Edge rifles so it should also work well in the Mod95.
