In general I have been happy with the glass on the Monstrum scopes I have, similar to a bug buster, should be a good fit to the gun. Now I want one

Or if you want more precise aim points, this has them all
You are correct, I mistook the illumination knob as an a/o. I guess they do offer it in a/o but want a few more dollars
I was thinking about getting one of those but ended up getting the 3x9x40 ffp ao. I had to send the first one back because the ao was wonky. The second ones ao is okay. If you find you don't like the monstrum look at the BSA sweet 22 2x7x32. I really like mine.
I have the Tasco and Winchester 2-7x32 ao scopes like them both... Tasco is duplex reticle while the Winnie is mil dot... https://tasco.com/riflescopes/air-rifle-2-7x32mm-riflescope/
If you can live without the illuminated reticle. This Hawke mildot is only a little more but it's an excellent scope for the money. Plus it has an excellent warranty.
I hope the monstrum works out well for you.I must have a dozen Hawke Airmax and Vantage scopes between my springers and powder burners. I think the quality is very good for the price. I just replaced two Nikon 3.5-14x40 Prostaff 5s with two Hawke 2-7x32 Vantages. I recently bought property that's mostly wooded so I needed decent lower power scopes for my wife's 243 Tikka and my 7mm-08 Tikka. The Hawke Vantages have excellent glass for the money.
Thanks! I’ve put one on my .25 pesting rifle (which doesn’t get a whole lot of use; I’ll need to use it for some target shooting every so often!).It seems like very clear glass although I’ve never looked through any expensive or well known glass so I don’t know what I might be missing.I might get their 3-9x50 AO or 3-12x42 AO for my .22; both are around $100
