The cheapest way to stabilize the barrel better would be to just move the existing barrel support to the end of the barrel. It sits about 5 inches from the end of the barrel. It is secured by a grub screw which goes into a divot on the barrel. You could try it with just the grub screw tightened and maybe drill a little divot if you like the results. The support is plastic so you cannot really get the grub screw real tight.I use a DonnyFL with a Tanto. My barrel drooped a little without the adapter but I did not have clipping.
I just ended up getting the Donny fl adapter. Use on my 22 and 25 cal guns. Works great and the guns have to be the best bang for the buck going right now. Can’t think of anything that really challenges the accuracy, power and consistency for 300 to 350.
Kerndc, responding to your request re; what are others doing I have been testing quite a bit. First, my Avenger has one bbl. Band at the tip of the forend and thats all that’s needed. It really barks in 25cal and while I’m not done experimenting have some good results and is now among my quietest pcp’s.Keeping it short; one hole drilled at the rear of the shroud and covered with 4 Mr. Clean fiber pads cut to fit over the bbl. At the breech. Four Ought steel wool packed into the shroud as well at the breech end up to the shroud centering ring. Presently a Donnyfl extender/thread adapter and tests with several suppressors. I feel the Donnyfl extender is wasting shroud space that could be put to better use and I plan to cut off the 4”over bbl. tube that exists in the shroud and ad a splitter and more baffles.I would enjoy learning about your efforts and your product on eBay and sharing my results if you would like to pm me. I’m old and slow so be patient if I’m slow to respond.Tom

Yes, that might be the cheapest way, but then the barrel isn't being supported in the middle. Maybe a second shroud/ barrel support for the rifle, similar to the factory one would help a bit.
Thanks everyone and Jerry also. So many options out there and I just wanted some real world experience from experienced users . Which I am not by the way. I finally had too return my gun back too pyramid air due too an air leak it had since I bought it in July and an off center pellet probe. Had poi changes and was contemplating trying too fix myself with all the you tube videos and past forums on here . But in the end I just want a gun functioning right too begin with but I already have the bug of wanting too too tinker and modify too make the gun the best it can be. I made mention too the repair shop too please make sure it has the updated air valve or poppet thanks too the forums and experience of the members on here. I am like a sponge and will soak up any advice or suggestions you guys can offer. . Thank you again.
