Title: Bronze bushing for Tony Leach Skirtless Piston
Post by: JP806 on January 28, 2023, 10:28:37 PM
Hello
Machinist

Was wondering if anyone can make two Bronze bushing for my Tony Leach Skirtless piston (to replace the Delrin ones).

Willing to pay or we can barter (got some excess airgun stuff like, scope rings, JSB 1.77 8.4 grain pellets, etc).

Ideal if you are local and can show/teach me how to operate my Chinese mini lathe. San Francisco area

Mainly don't want to loose any fingers or eyeball... trying this on my own.
Thank you

This Ebay store has many sizes and styles of bushings, may find the right fit or one that can be shaped for final fitment, save some time and may not need a lathe much.

Best thing is you get an old machine shop theory book and read it. Older because you don't want to be distracted by cnc to learn your manual machines. Then practice with your machine. Experience is the teacher.

You have to invest the time and it is well worth it for the hobbyist
