Title: Seeking Responsible Airgun Shooting Buddies in Syracuse, NY
Post by: Whirligig on June 09, 2019, 02:14:31 PM
I'm looking for responsible, mature airgun shooting buddies in Syracuse, NY.

If you have a safe place to shoot, I can provide the airguns and ammo.

Thanks,

-W

Camillus Sportsmen's Club is airgun friendly, but paper targets only and it's a private club. Airguns are welcome on the indoor pistol range (no BB and around 600fps minimum to reduce bouncing off the rubber backstop), outdoor pistol, and outdoor rifle. Yearly fee is $120 and memberships run January to January. Safety meeting and tour/procedures required. Membership meetings are currently only on Saturdays 9-11 due to the couf. Family membership, wife and kids included in the price. One shooting guest allowed but "donation" of a few bucks required and certain rules apply.

Possibility of indoor airgun in the new archery building.

Youth precision BB gun league though I'm not up on the details.

The more people we get involved, the more our different desires might be met. Would be nice to have a portable 10 meter range in the archery building. Would be nice to be able to set up field target on one of the ranges. Would be nice to have some lighter weight steel targets for air gun that can be set up when needed.

I'm not an owner, don't profit from this post, just a member. Also, there are some required duties, Spring clean up day is one of them. I also helped build fences separating the shotgun lanes this summer (purely for visual distraction prevention). In my opinion, it's a nice club and well kept.

I'm a member of Elbridge Rod and Gun Club and they have no problem with me shooting airguns there.
