HE is one of the best airgun builders on the planet , has been for years but slips under the radar on all the major forums. When you look for his older builds, this one doesnt even surprise you
-
Well that's interesting. Does he sell stuff like this?
-
Nice looking rifle.
-
VERY awesome work!!!

yep, thats for a customer, hes overseas../
-
Does CO222 have his own site?
-
Does CO222 have his own site?
no ,.. No business that I know of..
-
I'd like to have one just like that in 35cal, very cool 8)
-
That's a work of art, definitely! I don't think I've seen any of his other builds. I googled, but his name just triggers a lot of "co2 .22" false results, so I didn't find anything.

Thats mega cool makes me wanna buy a benji & supe it up so I
Wont have to build one from scratch by trial & error.

kinda goes to show how little time and effort the manufacturers are putting into pumpers nowadays..

Another INSANE build by co222 , 60 fpe tiny Walther p-38 replica

Thanks, Rob M. I found the p38 replica, but not the others.
-
I think the US to Au dollar exchange is good right now ;D but you still need a lot of US dollars either way lol
-
$1.00 US = $1.32 AU
-
That's really cool. I like that he's using the same piston diameter and stroke length as a 392 with a 20cc valve volume. I don't know off the top of my head what the valve volume of a 392PA is, but someone else on the forum probably has that info.
-
i think his valve volume is 30 cc. which is huge ! dont know the 39x valve volume off the top of my head.
-
I think he said the swept volume of the pump is 30cc and the valve volume is 20cc. I'm also thinking the 392 valve is only around 2 cc.
-
WOW!!
This comparison put in perspective for me... :o

;D This Gun is Fantastic ! I'd like to have one of these in 25 Cal. ! Where do I Sign Up ? ;D
-
well , you could email him and get a quote I guess. ;D

kinda shows how little effort the big companies are putting into pumpers nowadays.. One could argue they have regressed since the days of the sheridans ,and 1400s

2000 Benjamin 392PA pump arm: 16 gauge sheet steel folded, .71 inch wide near upper pivot. Link: 12 gauge steel x .45 inch wide.
2014 392PA pump arm: 16 gauge sheet steel folded, .71 inch wide. Link: 12 gauge steel x .43 inch wide.
1968 Benjamin 342 pump arm: 16 gauge sheet steel folded, .69 inch wide. Link: 11 gauge steel x .39 inch wide.
1977 Sheridan Blue Streak pump arm: 17 gauge (which is thinner than 16 ga. btw) sheet steel folded, .75 inch wide. Link: 11 gauge steel x .43 inch wide.

sooo, no progress, but no regression on the pump arm. just all other quality indicators have gone away

Which ones? Granted they no longer use walnut for the stock, but neither do $500 PCPs. Walnut is rapidly becoming extinct.
-
Stock 392 valve is 4.2 cc.... The pump arm can fold above 1500 psi, or less if you're clumsy and don't push on it straight.... The Mac1 extended billet will stand 2000 psi, but 1800 was enough for me, that last 200 was tough.... The effort on the extended billet at 1800 is about the same as on the stock 392 at 1500....

Look at the build quality of the older sheridans versus the new 397s.or even a 347 versus new era 397.. Theres really no other new pumpers to compare, But i sincerely doubt anyone would claim the new pumpers are better assembled..
Bob thanks for the numbers. Almost all the powerful pumper builds ive seen use an upgraded linkage.. I dont recall what you used on the millenium , maybe it was the mac 1 billet?

I have both older and newer Sheridans and Benjamins to compare. I'm not claiming that the build quality is better on the newer ones, just that the newer ones aren't the pieces of junk that some people claim.
I will say one thing: my '91 392P is the highest overall quality of any of my pumpers, and the quality of my 2000 392PA is about equal in quality with my two Sheridan Blue Streaks.
As for my 2014 392PA, the wood is not walnut but it otherwise leaves nothing to be desired. Especially for $125 shipped to my doorstep.
I don't know why you seem to think looking at the pump linkage of a $2000 custom pumper presents the perfect opportunity to make snarky comments about the quality an airgun you don't even own, anyway. Some of us are happy that Crosman still makes a reasonable, and reasonably priced, adult pumper.
Yes, thanks for the numbers, Bob. I figured you would know. In fact, I think it was in one of your threads that I saw a comparison of the valve volume of the 39x vs. Crosman 13xx.
-
I think my statement was more generalized and wasnt aimed at crosman owners at all.. Im a big crosman fan and have owned over a dozen crosman guns.. .. I was simply stating the fact that no manufacturer is currently investing anything in new pumper designs, and the picture somewhat highlights the direction pumpers could be going if the manufacturers had interest.. I read posts all the time that are blatantly bashing certain guns I like, doesnt mean I take it personally.
-
In that case, I apologize for jumping to conclusions. I see a lot of unwarranted abuse heaped on the only decent quality, moderately priced pumper still on the market; and all that's gonna do is hasten its demise. I mistook your comment for more of the same.
-
no problem , look up the 2000 psi 880 , I spent weeks building a 910 fps daisy 880 from walmart ;D
Im just annoyed we havent seen any new pumper models.
-
The 17 people that would actually buy a 2k$ pumper would not cover the cost to design and retool for it. That is likely the biggest hurdle companies have in bringing out newer and better rifles in general.

yes.. or even a 400 dollar pumper.. walmarts nationally sell more airguns a week than perhaps the entire forum buys.
-
That is awesome, work of art really. It is a shame that really high end machined pumpers aren't made. There have been exceptions. The Titan and it spin-offs in the 80's, 90's. Currently the FX Indy would be the current high ender. $1500 or around there. It will probably go away before long, all high end pumpers seem to.
-
there was also the bowkets , powerful ssp 12 fpe guns.. excellent build quality.. gone
-
So he says 2 ft lbs per stroke? Who would want to pump 50 times to charge one shot? Am I reading that correctly? The 3 shot would definitely be better.
-
its 130 pumps to get charged, then 25 pumps per shot for all the shots thereafter .. Its air conserving , so really once its charged , the stroke numbers go down.
