Nice post Mark;In today's market folks don't think much about pumpers and are fixed on high energy PCP's. Everyone is locked on energy and amount they must have. Well I'm 70 years old, and have a Sheridan from 1962. I have shot more ground squirrels, rabbits, starlings, etc, etc, than I can shake a stick at .... and they all went down with my 6 pumps (usually the most I used).I used the original Sheridan pellets in the yellow plastic box, and that was it. I did not know about BC, HP pellets, custom plastic tipped pellets or super duper high speed alloy pellets ... all know is I would pump it 6 times and go hunting. All I know is every time I went hunting I came back to the farm with pigeons, rabbis, squirrels or ? for dinner ---- that's all I know !I have MANY very, very powerful and high tech airguns now, and they are great, but at a reasonable range (25-35yds) Your Benjamin Pump, Sheridan, Crosman 2100, or old Crosman 140 will put meat on the table ...that's all I know !I think you got my drift :- )wll
