The lack of windage adjustment has been a sore spot with me since forever. Why Daisy thinks a BB gun wouldn't benefit from windage adjustment is beyond me.Doesn't that 111B have an elevation-only adjustable sight like a Red Ryder? If it does, you might try using the windage blade like used on various other Daisys. You can see what I mean by clicking HERE. That gun would also be a good candidate for a high performance spring.
Finally warm enough up here to do some fun shooting with my favorite. Ten shots at a coffee can bottom from 30'.....seated offhand. I really like this BB gun. I wish I could figure a way to lighten the trigger spring. The Shape of the spring is proprietary so swaping it out will be difficult. Still it shoots good.......and hard.I'd like to find a good D 299. Basiclly, it's a model 99 that loads and cycles like a Model 95.

Isn't it the same idea as this custom 880: a multi-pump pneumatic with a smooth bore barrel for BBs?My 880 continues to impress me with its accuracy with pellets and its easy handling. If it shot BBs accurately, it might be my favorite air rifle!Tight groups,BobBob, you bring up a good point! Having a similar powerplant as the 880 and already having a smoothbore shot tube makes the model 35 an ideal candidate for some very interesting mods that were hinted at above. And actually the 35 has been mentioned by oldnamvet and Geo already, so they're aware of it. I think the biggest reason the 880 was used to test the 499 shot tube was convenience, because he already had one on hand. But a 35 may be on the horizon...

Basiclly, it's a model 99 that loads and cycles like a Model 95.That's darn good, i don't remember my dad's ever doing that with BB's.Of course now I have since put a rifled barrel in it for him, and he only shoots pellets from it.All that stuff talk about bb plinkers and I realized I don't actually have any bb's right now, but I'm going shopping and will pick some up tomorrow. Not that I'll be doing much bb plinking for a while when the rifled 840 gets here, I don't know about anyone else but when I get something new i tend to devote all my shooting to it for a couple weeks.
Good to know Mark, that to clean the shot tube as soon accuracy falls off. So with what do you clean it, like with regular patches and what else? Just asking, for my pellet guns i'm using Remington bore cleaner, that I bought at Walmart. And for rust prevention i'm using Remington Oil, applied with a cloth or papertowell.
