How do you guys shoot your chronos? I've never set my chrono more than 1 foot away from the muzzle. If I hit it at that distance I suppose I should give up on accuracy from any of my guns.
Marty, MSPs like PCPs are more air efficient with heavier ammo. Obviously, like all ammo, use what your particular rifle shoots accurately. I was going to suggest to Buddy that he try the 18g JSBs because of their reputation of being one of, if not the most versatile .22 pellet out there for accuracy.
Hey, you're in the "I shot my chrony" club now. Years ago I got new F1 Shooting Chrony. One the very first shot I clipped the top of the display. If that wasn't bad enough, on the second shot I finished the job. Right dead center of the display. Duh! I traded the F1 in on an Alpha Master with remote display. I put 3/4" of Polycarbonate on the front of the chrony just to make sure I never shoot it again. So far, I haven't in the last five years. (knock wood) The BC on the 28g Eun Jin is around .035 if I remember right. At 510FPS, that's 16.18FPE. I have most of my pumpers sighted in at 27yds, which just happens to be the depth of my backyard.http://www.chronoconnect.com/pellet-list.html
Why are you wanting such a heavy pellet? Your fps suffers exponentially, consequentually so to does accuarcy (obviously). I can see heavier on a 900fps/> gun but not for a 392.JSB's 18.13gr give me 645fps/13.1fpe & are extremely accurate out to 40+ yards with my vintage 392's. There not the cheapest around but if you buy 2 or 3 here you get one free.https://www.pyramydair.com/product/jsb-match-diabolo-exact-jumbo-heavy-22-cal-18-13-grains-domed-500ct?p=690

Or 35 whelen when shooting loads at 2200 to 2600 FPS. Lol. Muzzle blast would make short work of it.I intend to do just as you suggest for my Airguns though.I was shooting my .308 win. when the gas check hit the chrono. Was’nt the bullet lol, but did just as good a job on the chrono as if it had been!
