Yesterday, my wife and I had a few hours to ourselves, do we went and tried out a new entery we've heard about: Friendly Red's Tavern. We'd decided to share a Caesar salad, some appetizers and do a few cocktails. For appetizers we had crab cakes, chicken tenders, potato skins and meatballs. My wife had a special fall sangria made with moonshine. I had a traditional mule and a mixer made with Jack Daniels honey. Food was very well made and fresh. Drinks were very tasty. Looks like we'll definitely be coming back.
Joe, you've inspired me to make bread so I bought a box of Cafe Du Monde's Beignet mix and they came out great. This is too easy for a quick desert.Late lunch/supper was a chicken, sausage, tasso, shrimp gumbo with potato salad. I had to, we had a front come in!!!!

At the moment, Sally Wagger and I are enjoying a little Blue Bell Butter Pecan ice cream. YUMMO!
