The last of the summers bounty from our vegetable garden. Cucumbers, bell peppers, and tomatoes for BLT sandwiches. Have had several nights in the 30s already, but no frost...yet. My flowers and veggies are about done for the year.
We ate cereal tonight, then I ate wayyy too many gummy bears.

And chocolate Cheerios. Cocoa Cocoa Puffs too.I ate some graham crackers and milk for a snack. Everyone is in bed and I’m waiting for Michele and my daughter to get home from their night out. I’ve been fighting a cold this weekend and I think that I am going to take tomorrow off work. Still feeling a bit under the weather and don’t want to pass it on to others. Tuesday’s are my Monday’s.
I finally made the fish tacos that I found a recipe for a couple of weeks ago. They were okay- not quite as good as I expected from reading the recipe....thinking I will stick to grilled shrimp, though. Haha!Had a simple salad on the side which consisted of some chopped romaine and some pico de gallo thrown on top, with dressing added.
About that cold: eat local honey, a teaspoon a day, if you have any allergies. Gotta start before allergy season, but this works like a champ. Then if you feel something coming on, gargle with warm saltwater (mild solution, not brine!) and make sure you cough up phlegm. I've been cold-free for a decade even when half our office was calling in sick. Just ensuring the back of your tongue and upper throat are relatively mucus-free means less breeding ground for the yuck. I have a couple co-workers that also swear by Neti Pots (they don't get sick either).

So funny you mention that. As I was eating, I kept thinking that it seemed something was missing! After I finished, I remembered the cilantro.
Cilantro is vital for... well... just about everything one would prepare for Mexican/Tex-Mex.Side note: my wife makes the most amazing pico de gallo; far better than any salsa, and goes amazing on everything we've tried.
A bowl of graham crackers and milk is one of my "go-to" bedtime snacks.Mmmmmm-Mmmmm
