The foods posted today, from everybody, looks awesome!Pretty wet here today, so the family separated and all went to find stuff to do, leaving me alone here to do whatever I want. I decide to tidy up and do a little rearranging of my little section of my unfnished basement, I consider my "Man Cave" area. Very happy how it turned out, especially now that I have my springers and pumers now neatly set on the wall on a tidy rack. PCPs stays in the gun safe with the PBs. Spent the entire day working down there, so I basically just grabbed leftovers for quick eats.
I'm going for a good old Coca Cola ice cream float. My 32oz. Yeti oughta do it.
Well, I mixed the chicken salad today, and it turned out good. Had a large bowl of soup and some chicken salad with crackers this evening.

Taking crackers and scooping the chix salad up on the cracker and eating it.... yum!

Hahahahahahah! True story:I come from humble beginnings. My parents were both from small town Oklahoma and married in high school. I came along about a year and a half later, and then had three younger sisters over the next ten years. Dad dropped out of high school in tenth grade, and mom went ahead and graduated the spring after they married. Dad wasn't an educated man, but he was very hard-working, and from the time I can remember (age two years) he always worked hard and worked very long hours, for a company (huge company nowadays) who made concrete water pipe and the steel fittings that join them. Mom stayed home and raised the four of us girls. Dad always took his lunch to work in this large dark grey plastic Rubbermaid lunch box, and I still remember it to this day. On the job site, there was a portable lunch truck that the guys called the paddy wagon, and vendors would sell various foods to the working guys who had not brought a lunch with them, or snacks for later.Dad never bought his lunch off the paddy wagon, but he would sometimes buy a sweet treat to bring home for his four little girls. Mom and the four of us were his life. Literally. His family was what his time, money, and energy were poured into. We would get SOOOO excited waiting for Daddy to get home from work, so that we could see what sweet treat surprise he might have brought home for us!Often, and also my favorite, it was the pink Snowballs. Dark chocolate cake with pink marshmallow and coconut coating. YUM! Great fun memories! Thanks Dinh!
Snowballs were great. Something about the feel of biting into them. We (kids) didn't get them very often. Now days they just don't taste the same.
Dinh and Lizzie- thanks for the trip down memory lane. I still enjoy those Snoballs, but they are a very rare treat for me.
I have a snowball machine and used the good syrup and they taste the same as always. I get the syrup at a commercial kitchen store. When my nephew comes over it's game on!! YUM YUM Bubblegum!
