Mexican food is my wife and I's favorite. Got plenty of good ones around by us. In fact I made Mexican tonight. My wife coaches JV volleyball at our old school so she doesn't get home until after 630 now. So after my workout I get to cook lol my go to is Mexican. Homemade rice which is a recipe from our Foreman's wife AMAZING. Black beans and ground beef from one of my sister's 4H steers. With some fresh picked cherry tomatoes and jalapenos from our garden. YUM! And of course to counter act the heat fresh milk from our cows ice cold of course.Plates dirty from the juicy tomatoes my favorite fruit/veggie or whatever you want to consider them

YUMMY! That is the absolute best milk there is. Well, maybe Wilcox brand chocolate milk but they aren't around anymore. It tasted just like melted chocolate ice cream. I'm talking the full fat version with cream added...... oh yeah! Alpenrose is a good second since Wilcox isn't around. We have Smith Brithers delivered but their chocolate isn't very good. Still doing the Tough Mudder Dillon? What day are you running on? It's a pretty easy OCR as far as the obstacles are concerned. It's just a longer run so endurance is more the focus than strength.
I ate some 7-11 hotwings, some licorice, a cup of Skyr yogurt, a mini-bag of Doritos, and topped it off with a banana. I covered the entire gamut of "really good for you" to "really bad for you" in one meal.

Yup raw milk it's the best!! Can't stand the store bought stuff!Yeah we are Brett. I believe we're doing it Sunday as I work monday-saturday every week. Good to know about endurance over the strength! Not hitting the weights but doing Tony Hortons 22 Hard Corps more of a body strength and cardio mix. With my job I'm very active as it is and do a lot of things with arm and leg strength and usually am walking 10+ miles a day with some running mixed in those. We ran/walked a half marathon in Nashville earlier this year. Usually no problem and can run 5-6 miles straight but that was a brutal one. Seemed mostly up hill and of course record heat that week so was high 90s with humidity when in April we hadn't even hit 70 over here lol it was real bad and everyone we talked to said it was the hardest they've done. I only did 3 runs before doing it so I'm not too worried my wife and my 2 sister in laws on the other hand are
What? No cole slaw? You ain't from round here huh Boy? LOL!!! learned that from 4 years at Camp Lejeune NC.
I messed the bread up doing something stupid. I didn't even think about raising the temp when I put the bread in and after a few minutes it donged on me so I took it out and cranked the oven up and in that time the dough fell, ARGGGG!!!It's not a total lost and it's better than store bought.
I mentioned a few pages back, that I normally cook once or twice per week, then eat warmed leftovers and salads until I run out, then I cook something else to last for the next few days. This is one of my faves, just because it's easy, it re-warms well, it's relatively healthy, and although very simple, it's tasty. German Skillet Dinner1 med onion, diced!-2 pounds ground beef (I use the super-lean)1/2 cup dry rice1 1/2 cup water (I add chicken bullion powder for flavor)1 small head of cabbage, chopped into bite-size pieces1 can Rotel tomatoes (drained)2-3 tbsp. butterDice the onion and cook on low until starting to caramelizeAdd ground beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until done. Add dry rice and pour the water over this mixture. Chop the cabbage and make a thick layer of cabbage over other ingredients already in bottom of potDrain the Rotel tomatoes and pour them on top of the cabbage. Place lid over pot and simmer for 30-40 minutes until water is absorbed and rice is done. Stir to mix and it's ready to serve.

Those things are so big they could have their own zip code. Ha ha ha! Looks yummy.
Simple but tasty I'm sure... do you have enough for 10 more at your table? We could bring dessert..... 😉🍪🍩
I ate some cinnamon-raisin bread with chunky honey-roast peanut butter. Then for breakfast-dessert I chopped up some taters, spritzed with some olive oil, and open-wok roasted with some random seasonings. Garlic, white pepper, sage, thyme, some rosemary straight of the plant, and a scosche of some barbecue rub. The potatoes were so good I think I'll do it for lunch, only I may throw in a chopped hotdog for added fun.
